We are in Canada!

We left the Haas Lake RV Park about 9:00 AM.  After a three month stay were were a bit rusty on a few things.  The day was decent, no rain and filled up the Roadrunner at an exit not far from the Port Huron border crossing.  After 20 minutes in line, we passed through no issue.  That's the way we like them.

Our next stop was Bayfield, where we were fortunate enough to meet long time blog buddies Al and Kelly of the Bayfield Bunch.  It was great to finally meet them! We chatted for a few minutes and Kelly asked about our internet connection.  We use Autonet Mobile.  So far it has been fine.  Coverage is not guaranteed in Canada and the range is exceeded here at the Tobermory Village Campground.  Last year we were about 8 miles closer to the border and had no problem.

We happened to catch Al and Kelly on a day off and we had an abbreviated chat since we were on our way to Tobermory.  We hope to meet them again and get to know them.  Maybe next summer in Arizona some where?  Nice folks!

We checked into the campground and got set up fairly quickly.  We have full hookups, a small site, so shade, a campfire ring and picnic table.  It seems to be very well maintained and family friendly.  After a steak dinner on the grill, we went over to see Marg, Bill, Chuck, June and Meghan's grandmother at her cottage on Dorcas Bay.

It was a beautiful evening and we sat by the water and chatted for about an hour.  Then the skeeters were our and we decided to head for the RV campground.  It was a long day for us and we were ready to hit the hay when we got back to the Roadrunner.

Thanks for viewing the Roadrunner Chronicles today!
(The internet connection is soooo slow, I didn't upload any pictures today.)
