From Galveston to Livingston Texas

Yesterday we went to our last NOMADS meeting for a while. We didn't want to miss devotions or saying good bye to our friends. Three couples will be leaving in the next few days including us.

After we said our goodbyes I asked our neighbors John and Maryetta if I could get a few photos of their little folding table/magazine rack:
We may try to get one like this. It folds up nicely and has a lot of versatility.

After we left Galveston, we headed toward Houston and set up a lunch date with our two nephews.

First we had to find a parking place for the Roadrunner. We tried a nearby Sam's Club but there was no unattended car or RV parking. We found a nearby Metro Station and found a empty area.
Then we met Drew and Mark at Papacito's for lunch.
We had about 90 minutes to catch up over some good Mexican food. Both Mark and Drew went to Texas A&M.

Mark continued on with medical school, is an MD and now on the faculty and also works at a County hospital.
Drew got a degree in Economic Agronomy and is currently a real estate appraiser. Both live in Houston and it was great to see them. They are both sharp, mature young men. Its neat to be able to see friends and family. This lifestyle allows us to do that and we are grateful. If things work out we may get to see them again during Thanksgiving in Fort Worth.

We arrived at Escapees Rainbow's RV Park in Livingston Texas where we will be for the next four days. We are attending the Escapees RV Bootcamp.

This was the view outside our campsite.
Thanks for checking on the Roadrunner Chronicles. More about Bootcamp in the coming days.
Also -- I have added a link on the side bar that shows where we are planning to be in the coming months.

  2. Looks like our paths have crossed without even knowing it. We were Escapees until recently when we left Texas for a job in Arizona. Looks like the Boot Camp was educational and entertaining. Thanks for sharing it with us.
