Great Places to Eat

It was a beautiful morning at the campground on the lake.
After we got up and at 'em, we listened to a sermon in the Roadrunner Chapel.  Then we drove into North Bay which is about 20 miles away.

We went to our favorite used book store and then over to Burger World for lunch.
There was a line outside waiting for a table, so things haven't changed much since we were here last year.  It is still a very popular spot to eat.  Most restaurants up here serve gravy 'n fries.
Yum!  Pam had some with her burger.  Kelly had a cheese burger, I had an egg sandwich.  Burger World is a well maintained, clean and friendly eating spot.
We have come across a few other eating places in our travels that we really enjoy:

Shrimp and Stuff, Galveston, Texas.
Frontier Restaurant, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
33 Diner, Maynardville, Tennessee
The Salt Lick, Round Rock, Texas.
And my favorite, Pam's Roadrunner Grill.
We had flank steak, potatoes, zucchini and an onion.  It tasted even better than it looked!

We did a lot of reading yesterday and with no rain, it was a very nice day.  Later in the evening, our friends Jeff and Tiffany arrived after a long drive from Virginia.  Dick (Tiffany's brother) has a pontoon boat and he came over and picked us up so we could spend some time with everyone before it got too late.

Both Dick (and wife Michelle) and Tiffany (and husband Jeff) have cabins next to each other on Talon Lake that can be accessed only by boat.  We stayed long enough for Lauren to open a birthday present from her cousin.
It was another great day in Canada.  Thanks for joining us today on the Roadrunner Chronicles!

  4. How come I have to go on Nellie and Jonathan's diet and don't?? Could it be the pizza, fried chicken and Italian sausage I eat? Or could it be the Rum and cokes?? Yeah, that might be it..the drinks...

  6. Shrimp and Stuff is one of those hole in the walls that most tourists never get a chance to discover. I'm glad you had the chance while you were here to eat there. It's only a few blocks from where I work. ;)
