Working on a Rainy Day

First, I want to say 'WELCOME' to new followers:
Thelma and Skip
We appreciate you joining us on the Roadrunner Chronicles and look forward to hearing from you often.  Thanks!

The last couple of days have been really rainy and windy and cold.  I have been fortunate enough to do some online work at the Roadrunner office:
Note the window shades are down because it helps isolate some of the cold weather that I feel up next to the windows. But the temperature changes every couple of hours so I put the shades up and down all day...

About mid afternoon I heard some activity going on near by.  I thought I was getting a new neighbor at the campsite next to us.  But no---I couldn't believe it.  It is 40 something degrees outside and these folks are launching their pontoon boat.  It is blowing and windy and rainy...but in she goes.  Those Michiganders really have some warm blood in their veins.
This morning I could see that the boat was all buttoned up and docked about 10 rigs away from us at the other end of our lake.  Seems like a lot of boat for such a small lake, but still would be nice to float out there in the lake and fish maybe when the weather warms up.
Later on Thursday, the weather cleared and it was a pretty nice evening.  We went over to Adam's place and helped him finish moving out and then we all went back to the Roadrunner and called it a day.

Thanks for visiting today!  Hope your Friday sets the stage for a great weekend!

  3. I imagine today turned out sunny for you just as it did for us over here on the Canadian side too. Still a bit on the cool side nestled up close to the Great Lakes though.

  4. Adam is moving? I must have missed that blog. Is he heading to Texas? I was looking for a air pump on the web and discovered the place was discontinuing the boat I needed the pump for. So being the dumb butt I am, I ordered a pump for the Alaska/Canada zodiac and a new boat and pump for the Merritt Island Florida home also. There are a lot of rivers there to explore. Just as well get the toys before I am laid off for life. I have added meeting the Bayfield Bunch to my bucket list.
