Deductions and Alignment

It is time to renew our RV insurance and I was surprised to see that the renewal price is almost $200 more than what we paid for the first year.  Our first year price was $1051.  Our new quote is $1239.  Up $188! That is not what I was expecting.  I called and did not get too much help from the insurance company nor the broker with whom we set it up a year ago.

Time to start over and make some more phone calls.  I called Dan Doughtery in Sioux Falls.  I told him I didn't want to pay more than I was this year and he gave me some quotes and asked a lot of questions.  He came up with a policy from Allied for $1016/yr.  I increased my deductible from $500 to $1000 and was happy with that.

Yesterday was a beautiful day.  It was 81 degrees and sunny.  The wind was only a slight breeze.  Nice.

We needed to get some work done on the Pathfinder so we took it in to a local Firestone dealer and had them check the wheel alignment.  They found the bearings needed to be worked on too.

We spent the better part of the day there and walked past a McDonald's to go to Taco Bell for lunch.  Looks like this is a popular spot for the Michigan State Police Motorcycle force....
It was such a beautiful evening we sat outside by the lake for a while.  We also talked with our next neighbors and met them on both sides of our campsite.  Something about good weather puts everyone in a friendly mood and it was good to meet them.

We have been watching a lot of baseball lately and saw the Tampa Rays defeat the NY Yankees in a good game.

That was about it for the day.  Hope you enjoy the weekend and thanks for viewing the Roadrunner Chronicles!
