Roadrunner Financials - September 2009

Recap of the month:
We started out September in western South Dakota in the Bad Lands.  We visited Custer State Park and the surrounding area including the incomparable Mt Rushmore.  We went south through Greensburg Kansas, stopping long enough to be "Volunteers in Missions" with friends Susan and Kirk.  Then it was on to Albuquerque to see Reid and Amy and before we went up to Santa Fe to participate in our first Habitat for Humanity "Care-A-Vanners" build.

Here is what our expenses looked for the month of September:
Overall for the month -
Almost $600 under budget was pretty good!

Areas we were under budget -
- Our $1000 budget for diesel fuel was very conservative so we were way under that.
- We averaged $9.01/night on campgrounds.  We stayed one night in a Walmart parking lot, three nights parked in a church parking lot in Greensburg, KS while volunteering, and  the last ten days of the month at the Rodeo Grounds in Santa Fe at $15/nigh.

Biggest expenses for the month -
- Our biggest expense for the month was getting our car and RV registered in South Dakota for another year,

Large 'One Time Cost Item(s)' -
- We had no big items to purchase in September.

Monthly average since we started tracking in June 2009 -
That was what the numbers looked like after four months on the road.  Thanks for joining us on the Roadrunner Chronicles.
