Friends and Mower Parts

First - thanks in advance for the next two of you that take the leap and help us get to Follower numbers 149 and 150.  We seemed to have stalled a couple short of the milestone but I am confidant it will happen soon...

Happy Labor Day!  Hope you all are enjoying the long weekend and the start of the college football season!  Who were you rooting for and how did they do?

We drove over to Oliver Springs Tennessee to see Pat and Charlie.  They are friends of Pam since she was in her late teens.  I first met them before we got engaged 32 years ago.
It was good to see them and spend some time on their front porch catching up.  We haven't seen them in 7 or 8 years.  While we were there some of there kids and grandkids showed up for what looked like a regular Sunday afternoon cookout.

After we returned to Mike and Joan's,  Mike and I set out in search of some lawn mower parts.  He got a mower in to be fixed that had a broken steering housing.
Sure enough, Mike and I drove out to see Eddie and he had a mower that had what we needed.  After a while, Mike removed the part and we were on our way back to his house.
It wasn't too long before he had the old mower with the new housing on and he moved on to the next issue.  A new hood for the mower.

It was another beautiful evening and we sat outside for a while before we went inside and watched Sunday Night Baseball.
Thanks for view the Roadrunner Chronicles!

  1. While reading your blog, Steveio was passing by and looked over the shoulder. He caught your lawnmower repairs, right up his alley. Thanks for sharing!

  2. As I'm writing this comment, you are now at 149 Followers - 1 to go!! It was nice to see College Football start its season yesterday even though I don't really have any particular favourite. Well, maybe, Washington St. Huskies might be, but right now I don't really want to admit that!!

  5. Boy Mike would make me nervous with that really big hammer he was using on that mower steering housing. Its obvious he really knows his mowers and what he is doing.
And I see that you now have 150 Woo HOOO!!!! Followers!!! Heck I think I am lucky to have the 41 folks that I have managed to get in the last three years. Guess my blog isn't much for interest. OH Well.
