Florida Campsites

We have had a wonderful time in Florida this winter.  We have gotten an appreciation for some of the National and State parks/campgrounds. After our Habitat for Humanity gig in Macon Georgia last November we came to Florida. We have been here over three months.

Here's a look at the places we have camped since then:

K. Cloverleaf 4H Campground, Lake Placid, FL
L. Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, FL
M. Lake Griffin State Park, Fruitland Park, FL
N. Falling Waters State Park, Chipley, FL
O. Oak Grove Campground, Pensacola Naval Air Station, FL

Sigsbee Campground Key West
Gulf Waters RV Park - Ft Meyers Beach
Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont


Our average cost for campground sites was $22.46 per night.

    Nice review of where you been to put them all on a map! Great idea and then you can log your impressions, favorite site, which site you would like next time and the costs.

    We like Emerald Coast RV Resort in Panama City Beach and Live Oak Landing in Freeport.

    We stayed at Emerald Coast RV Resort in Panama City Beach for 6 weeks and really enjoyed it. We also like Topsail State Park in Santa Rosa Beach.

    Favorite in FL so far have been Pelican Roost at NAS Mayport and Fort Pickens near Pensacola, which we picked over Oak Grove. I'm going to pin this for future reference as we hope to spend more time in Florida in future winters.

    Hillsborough River State Park should be way up there on the list too. It is one of our favorites. Thanks for sharing!
