Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We spent it with Joan and Mike and family and had a great time! Before we knew it, it was time to hit the road again and drive back to Red Bay.
It was so great to get back home. We have been gone almost two weeks and we left the Roadrunner hooked up and plugged in at the campground. During that time we went to Fairfax, VA by way of Maynardville, TN and back. When we got back to the coach, the a/c was churning right along and everything seemed to be in order. We were happy about that!
The drive from Maynardville to Knoxville was uneventful and a very pleasant ride. There was little traffic which was a surprise to us.
We crossed over the Tennessee River and saw miles of highway....in fact our almost two week we traveled over 2500 miles.
We got back to the Allegro campground in Red Bay in the early afternoon. That was in time to see some great golf from Charley Hoffman and some bad golf from my man Phil, who had an awful day. Next on the PGA schedule, The Ryder Cup picks for the USA team are due to be announced today.
Pam cooked some spaghetti and we also saw a great college football game with Boise State scoring against Virginia Tech with 1:09 left in the game.
It is good to be back home and we were glad to see the Roadrunner do well without us. It was a great time visiting friends in Fairfax, seeing Adam again, seeing family in Tennessee.
Thanks for viewing the Roadrunner Chronicles and participating in my poll. I will leave it up for a few more days. And thanks again to Mac and Diana for helping us reach the 150 milestone!
Congratulations on reaching 150!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching 150 Followers! Glad to see that the Roadrunner was in good shape when you returned.
ReplyDeletePhil just doesn't seem to have the killer instinct him. He's had several chances to knock Tiger out of the #1 spot, but for whatever reason, hasn't done it. Strange.
Wow, 150 is amazing!...Sounds like you had a great trip..but it's always good to get back to the comforts of home....
ReplyDelete150!!..good for you!!..I am only at 39!!..there is no place like home!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching that milestone! Glad you got back to your friend, the Roadrunner, as well!
ReplyDeleteGlad we are able to be a milestone in the Roadrunner Chronicle.
ReplyDeleteHope you will be able to get the Roadrunner out of the shop soon. We will be getting our rig from the shop the end this week or the beginning of next.
Have a short trip planned for the coast right after that.
Glad to be aboard.
