We loved being at Fort Meyers Beach Beach. Good friends Tom and Cathy were here as well as Bonar and Christa. We all got together for a bike ride on Friday morning to the Lakes Park produce market.
One thing about the Fort Meyers area - there are a lot of bike trails. Like a whole lot. You can go almost anywhere on a bike.
It was about 4 miles to the market and we picked up some vegetables and a loaf of bread. I rode about a mile down the road on the way back home, when Cathy noticed I no longer had the bread. Sure enough, after I back tracked, I found it harmlessly waiting for me beside the path, untouched. A little bungie cord tie down and we were on our way.
Another day, we went for a ride out to see the manatee and dolphins. It was about 5 miles both ways on a wide bike path.
The condo area we rode to has access to the Caloosahatchee River. We could see the manatee and later on we saw four dolphin out by the tiki hut bench.
Fort Meyers Beach is a great place to bike and enjoy some great weather.

I love going to the fresh markets. Sounds like you are getting lots of exercise and fresh veggies too...
