The main thing about yesterday morning was the temperature. It was 46 degrees! Yikes fall has come! Or maybe just a cold front passing through. At any rate it was some interesting effects off the lake.
We drove to Toronto and continued west on Highway 401 past Milton to the KOA. It was a pretty easy 250 mile trip. I konked out about 1130 and Pam drove for an hour while I took a power nap. We arrived about 3:30 PM.We found a decent place and got set up and took it easy the rest of the day. We watched some golf on TV and my man Phil didn't have a very good day.
Pam had baked some lasagna a couple of days ago, so we heated it up and had a great meal. After that we went for a walk around the campground and watched the NY Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies in a close one.
Thanks for viewing the Roadrunner Chronicles today! Niagra Falls here we come....
I used to be back & forth on a daily basis years ago on that stretch of 401 you are near. From the Toronto Airport to Kitchener. Drove into that same KOA Park one day with my Airports Van to pick up one of the KOA mags. That was back in the late 80's when some early RV stirrings were beginning to perculate.
ReplyDelete46 degrees is a little on the cool side to be sitting outside on a porch with a laptop. But, thanks for your dedication because those of us in our nice warm homes are getting to read your blog bright and early this morning!
ReplyDeleteVery nice early morning pictures, but 4:30 AM?
ReplyDeleteApparently, I do not have the devotion to the art form. Most of my life I had to keep very odd hours and now enjoy getting up later in the AM. 7AM is considered early around here.
The fact that Pam is driving your rig is amazing to me...I see a lot of women behing the wheel of bigger RV's than ours...As for Dennis sleeping while I drive it...Ha! Never happen...In fact he would only last past the first time I had to back up...then he would jump back behind the wheel..He asked me what would I do if he couldn't drive...I told him I would call our son, who drives fire trucks..
ReplyDeleteI too am an early riser but have a question for you... since gas is so high in Canada I wondered are the prices for site less to make up for it?
